Egg production updates Both Muscovy hens are laying at an 18 days rate then recouping after 2 weeks off All Rhode Island rocks are laying consistently since the end of August 2016 "Fluffy" has been laying consistently since the end of September 2016 The SLW and BA have just started laying the beginning of October 2016
Chick production None to report at this time (10/2016) New flock and chick hatching sometime in 2018
Duckling Production Due to our first field to table duck we are going to be breeding Muscovy for slaughter and egg production First clutch to be obtained (3/2017) Hoping to have between 8 to 10 in the clutch...then restarting in (6/2017) with our other hen. We won't be selling any of our hens (unless we have 3 more hens) until possibly our 2018 clutch depending on what we get the spring and summer of '18...after we reach our quota of 10 drakes we will be looking to sell off the rest.
